GOYARD

A French trunk maker founded in 1853 in Paris, Goyard originated as Maison Morel. François Goyard later acquired the company, establishing the Goyard family in the trunk industry. Famous for its signature monogram print, the interlocking Ys of Goyardine (the brand’s signature coated fabric) represent the name’s central letter; its piled dots signify the Goyard family’s history as log drivers. Today, Goyard offers four product categories: travel goods, men’s & women’s handbags and accessories, pet accessories, and special orders. No products are available via e-commerce; they’re sold at standalone boutiques in several U.S. cities (including New York and Beverly Hills, CA), while Goyard is also sold at Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
